Road Freight Europe -
From Estonia to Every Destination
GreenLine Global operates international road freight across Europe through its freight forwarding Estonia hub in Tallinn - a strategic hub connecting the Baltics, Scandinavia, Central Europe and beyond. Since 2008 we have been moving freight by road across EU borders, managing FTL, LTL groupage, temperature-controlled transport, ADR dangerous goods and oversized loads as a single accountable service with 24/7 operations and real-time tracking on every shipment.
Our road freight Europe team specialises in heavy machinery and industrial equipment transport - cargo that demands precision, proper securing and cross-border permit management. Whether you need a full truck from Tallinn to Rotterdam - shipping heavy equipment internationally or moving sensitive equipment logistics across the EU, a groupage shipment from Warsaw to Madrid, or a low-loader for out-of-gauge industrial equipment anywhere in Europe, GreenLine Global provides the right vehicle, the right documentation and a transparent, itemised freight quote with no hidden charges. For shipments beyond Europe, our ocean freight and air freight services extend the chain globally.
How it works
European Road Freight - Door to Door Across Borders
Cross-border road freight in Europe involves more than loading a truck. CMR documentation, ADR compliance, customs formalities at non-Schengen borders and permit requirements for oversized loads all need to be managed correctly. GreenLine Global handles every stage - so your cargo moves without delays at border crossings or handover points.
Quote, route planning & vehicle selection
We assess your shipment - weight, dimensions, cargo type, ADR class if applicable - and select the right vehicle and service level. For oversized or heavy loads we carry out a route survey and arrange special permits before confirming the booking. You receive a full itemised quote with no hidden charges.
Pickup, loading & documentation
We collect from your warehouse, factory or site and load the cargo correctly - securing, lashing and crating where required. Our team prepares all CMR road consignment notes, ADR transport documents for dangerous goods, and any export or customs clearance documentation needed at the border of departure.
Cross-border transit & real-time tracking
Your shipment moves across EU borders under CMR convention. We track every truck in real time and alert you immediately to any delays. For non-Schengen crossings - such as routes via the UK or non-EU countries - we manage all customs formalities at the border to keep transit moving without holds.
Delivery & proof of delivery
We deliver to the consignee's address, unloading dock or site and obtain a signed proof of delivery (POD). One point of contact, four steps, no gaps between carriers - that is what door-to-door European road freight looks like with GreenLine Global.
Our European road freight services
European Road Freight Services - The Right Load for Every Route
Not every shipment fills a full truck. GreenLine Global offers four road freight service types across our European network - matched to your cargo volume, temperature requirements and special handling needs. As a specialized trucking services provider operating from Estonia, we select the right vehicle type - curtainsider, box truck, flatbed, low-loader or frigo trailer - for every load.
FTL - Full Truckload
Curtainsider - Box truck - Flatbed
Your cargo fills the entire vehicle - no sharing, no consolidation stops. FTL is the fastest and most secure road freight option for full loads across Europe. We operate standard curtainsiders and mega trailers (up to 120 m³ / 24,000 kg), box trucks and flatbeds depending on your cargo type and route requirements.
LTL - Groupage
Part load - Pallet freight - Cost-effective
Less than truckload groupage consolidates your shipment with compatible cargo from other shippers. You pay only for the space you use - pallets, euro pallets or cubic metres. LTL road freight across Europe is ideal for regular part-load consignments that do not justify a dedicated truck. We run regular groupage lanes on key Baltic and Central European corridors.
Temperature-Controlled Frigo
Chilled - Frozen - Pharma - Perishables
Temperature-controlled road freight using refrigerated frigo trailers maintains continuous cold chain from collection to delivery. We handle chilled (+2 to +8°C), frozen (-18°C and below) and pharmaceutical-grade temperature-controlled transport across Europe. Pre-trip temperature checks and continuous monitoring are standard on every frigo booking.
Oversized & Special Transport
Low-loader - Flatbed - Abnormal load - Escort
For cargo that exceeds standard trailer dimensions - industrial machinery, construction equipment, structural steel, energy sector components - we arrange low-loaders, extendable flatbeds and multi-axle configurations. We manage all special permits, route approvals and escort requirements across every EU member state on your route. Learn more about heavy machinery transport

Frequently asked questions
Road Freight Europe - Common Questions
FTL (Full Truckload) means your cargo fills the entire vehicle - no sharing with other shippers. It is the fastest and most secure option for volumes that fill a standard curtainsider or box truck. LTL groupage consolidates your shipment with compatible cargo from other shippers in the same vehicle, so you pay only for the space you use. Groupage is the cost-effective choice for part loads or smaller consignments across Europe. GreenLine Global handles both FTL freight services and LTL freight shipping across our European network and will advise the right option based on your volume, route and timeline.
Yes. GreenLine Global handles ADR dangerous goods transport on European road freight routes. Our drivers and vehicles comply with the European Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR). We prepare all mandatory documentation - ADR transport documents, safety data sheets and emergency response information - and ensure the correct vehicle class and placard requirements are met. Contact us with your UN number and we will confirm feasibility and routing.
Transit times for European road freight depend on origin, destination and service type. Baltic routes - Estonia to Germany or Poland, for example - typically take 1 to 3 days. Mid-European hauls such as Estonia to the Netherlands or Sweden take 2 to 4 days. Longer routes to Spain or France take 4 to 6 days. FTL shipments move faster than groupage since there are no consolidation stops. GreenLine Global provides confirmed transit estimates for every route at the time of quotation.
Yes - heavy machinery and oversized cargo transport is one of GreenLine Global's core specialisms in European road freight. We arrange low-loaders, flatbed trailers and multi-axle configurations for out-of-gauge loads and manage all special permits, escort requirements and route surveys required for abnormal load transport across EU member states. Our team has hands-on experience moving industrial equipment, CNC machinery, generators, cranes and construction equipment on European roads.
