Reliable Customs Clearance for Global Cargo
Customs clearance decides whether your shipment moves or sits at the border. GreenLine Global files your entries, classifies your goods under the correct tariff, and calculates duty and tax before the cargo arrives. We clear imports and exports across the United States, the European Union, Japan, South Korea, and Australia, so one team handles the paperwork on both ends of the lane.
Clearance is complementing freight services. Whether your goods travel by ocean freight, air freight, or road freight, the same file carries the customs entry, the security filing, and the duty calculation. We flag missing documents before you ship, manage authority holds directly, and return a transparent, itemised quote with no hidden charges.
How it works
From Documents to Release in Four Steps
GreenLine Global runs the whole clearance in-house, from the first document check to the moment your goods are released. Each step removes a reason customs could stop your cargo.
Document review & HS classification
We check your commercial invoice and packing list, then help classify every item under the correct tariff code. Getting the HS code right sets the duty rate and prevents a hold before the shipment even moves.
Duty, tax & compliance check
We calculate duty, VAT, and any import tax, then confirm licences, origin rules, and partner-agency requirements such as FDA, USDA, or biosecurity. You see the landed cost before you commit.
Declaration filing & authority liaison
We lodge the entry with the customs authority through its national system, whether that is ACE, NACCS, UNI-PASS, or the EU declaration platform. If an inspection is raised, we manage it directly with the officer.
Release, delivery & record-keeping
Once customs releases the cargo, we hand it to the onward transport leg and archive every declaration for audit. One team, one file, from booking to delivery - that is the GreenLine Global promise.
Our customs services
Customs Services - Every Type of Entry Covered
Clearance is not one process - it is the right process for your goods, your route, and your trade agreement. We match each shipment to the correct entry type and file it under the rules of the destination country.
Import Customs Clearance
Entry filing - Duty - Release
The core service for goods entering a country. We file the import declaration, calculate duty and tax, and clear your cargo for delivery. Most complete entries clear within 24 to 48 hours.
Export Customs Clearance
Declarations - Origin - Permits
We file your export declaration, prepare certificates of origin, and secure any export licences before your goods leave. Correct export paperwork keeps the import side moving too.
Customs Transit & Bonded
T1 - Bonded - In-transit
We move goods under customs control between ports and inland terminals using T1 transit and bonded warehousing. Duty is deferred until the goods enter free circulation.
Tariff Classification & Duty Advisory
HS codes - Valuation - FTA
We confirm the right HS code, valuation method, and origin so you pay the correct duty and no more. Free trade agreements often cut your rate to zero when the paperwork is right.
ISF & Security Filing
ISF 10+2 - ENS - Advance data
We submit the advance security data every authority now demands, including the US ISF 10+2 and the EU entry summary. File it late and the penalty lands before the ship does.
Partner-Agency & Regulated Goods
FDA - USDA - Biosecurity
Food, plants, chemicals, and controlled goods answer to more than customs. We handle the FDA, USDA, and biosecurity filings that sit alongside the entry. One team clears every agency, not just the border.
What we clear
Cargo Types & Customs Specializations
The harder the cargo, the more the classification and documentation matter. GreenLine Global clears the goods that trip up general brokers, with the right code, the right permits, and the right agency filings.
Heavy Machinery & Industrial Equipment
Capital equipment carries high value and complex classification. We handle valuation, parts-and-accessories rules, and any temporary import needs. Pairs with our road freight service for delivery.
Dangerous Goods & Chemicals
Hazardous cargo needs IMDG or IATA declarations filed alongside the customs entry. We align the dangerous-goods paperwork with the clearance so nothing stalls at the port.
Food, Agriculture & Perishables
Edible and agricultural goods answer to the FDA, USDA, and biosecurity agencies. We file the health and phytosanitary requirements that customs alone will not cover.
E-Commerce & Low-Value Consignments
High-volume parcels need de minimis rules, IOSS, and bulk entry handled at speed. We keep the duty and VAT treatment correct across thousands of small consignments.
Textiles, Fashion & Origin-Sensitive Goods
Apparel and textiles sit under strict origin and quota rules. We verify the certificate of origin and secure preferential rates where a trade agreement applies.
Controlled & Dual-Use Goods
Electronics, scientific instruments, and dual-use items need export licences and end-use checks. We manage the export-control filing before the goods move.

FAQS
Customs Clearance Questions
We’re a licensed freight forwarder that handles customs clearance as part of a full door-to-door service. Depending on the country, we file entries directly or through a licensed broker on your behalf, so you get one point of contact for both freight and clearance.
At minimum: a commercial invoice, a packing list, and a bill of lading or air waybill. Some countries add requirements, an ISF filing and bond for the US, an EORI number and SAD declaration for the EU, or a certificate of origin. Send us your commodity and route and we’ll confirm the exact set.
With complete, correct documents, most shipments clear the same day or within 24–48 hours of arrival. Delays usually come from missing paperwork, a wrong classification, or an inspection, so we check everything up front to avoid them.
The importer of record is legally responsible, but we calculate the amount in advance, show it on your quote, and can pay customs on your behalf against a deposit so cargo isn’t held. Every charge is itemised, with no hidden fees.
We act as your representative from the moment a hold is raised, arranging the exam, answering classification or valuation questions, and handling any biosecurity or agency review. You’re kept updated until the goods are released.
