Air Freight for Global Cargo
When speed matters, air freight is the answer. GreenLine Global is a TSA-certified international air freight forwarder operating across all major airports in the USA, Canada and Europe, with connections to destinations worldwide. We manage the complete air freight chain – from pickup at your facility and airline booking through to customs clearance and final delivery – as a single, accountable service.
Whether you need a cost-effective scheduled air cargo solution, an express next-flight-out for an urgent shipment, or a dedicated air charter for oversized or sensitive freight, our team matches the right service to your timeline and budget. As an end-to-end logistics provider with deep expertise in the USA, Canada and European markets, GreenLine Global also specialises in aerospace logistics and aviation logistics services – cargo that demands precision, compliance and speed in equal measure. Our air freight charges are always itemised in full, with no hidden surcharges.
How it works
End-to-End Air Freight - From Pickup to Delivery
Air freight moves faster than any other mode - but only when every link in the chain is managed correctly. GreenLine Global handles each stage as an end-to-end logistics solution, covering aerospace shipping, standard commercial cargo and everything in between, so your shipment reaches its destination without delays at handover points. Here is how a complete air freight service works with us.
Quote, booking & airline negotiation
We assess your shipment - weight, dimensions, cargo type and urgency - and negotiate competitive air freight rates across our airline network. We confirm the right service level (scheduled, express or charter) and provide a full cost breakdown with no hidden surcharges.
Pickup & pre-flight preparation
We arrange road collection from your warehouse, factory or site and transport the cargo to the origin airport. Our team prepares all air freight documentation - Air Waybill (AWB), shipper's letter of instruction, dangerous goods declarations where required - and ensures the shipment is correctly packed and labelled for airline acceptance.
Terminal handling & flight
Your cargo is checked in with the airline, screened (TSA-compliant) and loaded onto the booked flight. We track the shipment in real time and alert you to any flight irregularities or rerouting decisions immediately. For express and charter services, we monitor the flight actively from departure to touchdown.
Customs clearance at destination
On arrival, we handle import customs clearance at the destination airport. Our team is experienced with US CBP, EU customs authorities and the import regulations for every destination we serve. Correct documentation at this stage is what separates a fast clearance from a costly hold.
Last-mile delivery
Once cleared, we arrange delivery to the consignee's address, warehouse or facility. One forwarder, five steps, zero handover gaps - that is what end-to-end air freight logistics looks like with GreenLine Global.
Our air freight services - scheduled, express & charter
International Air Freight - The Right Speed for Your Shipment
Not every air shipment has the same urgency. GreenLine Global offers four service levels across our USA, Canada and Europe network - from cost-effective scheduled cargo to dedicated aircraft charter - so you only pay for the speed you actually need.
Scheduled Air Freight
Standard - Cost-effective - 2-5 days
Your cargo moves on the next suitable scheduled airline service between origin and destination. The most cost-effective air freight option for non-urgent international shipments. We book space on regular passenger and dedicated cargo flights across the USA, Canada and Europe and manage the full handover at both ends.
Express / Next-Flight-Out
Urgent - 24-48 hours - Priority handling
When hours matter, we book your cargo onto the earliest available flight regardless of standard schedules - next-flight-out (NFO) air cargo is the fastest commercial air freight service available. Used for urgent air cargo, time-sensitive components and shipments where every delay has a measurable cost. We actively monitor the flight and manage any rerouting in real time.
Air Charter
Dedicated aircraft - Any route - Any size
A dedicated aircraft exclusively for your cargo. Air charter is used for very large shipments that exceed standard cargo capacity, time-critical loads that cannot share space, or routes where no scheduled service exists. GreenLine Global arranges full and part charters on freighter and passenger aircraft, including special-handling cargo such as oversized freight and temperature-sensitive goods.
On-Board Courier / Hand Carry
Highest urgency - Accompanied - Door to door
A dedicated courier travels with your shipment as carry-on or checked baggage, maintaining unbroken chain of custody from origin to recipient. On-board courier (OBC) is used for the most critical, highest-value or most time-sensitive items - documents, medical samples, small precision components - where no delay of any kind is acceptable.
What we ship
Air Cargo Types & Industry Specializations
Air freight covers far more than standard parcels. GreenLine Global handles specialised air cargo across the USA, Canada and Europe that requires regulatory expertise, careful handling or airline-specific approvals - delivering reliable international air freight for cargo that cannot afford to go wrong.
General Air Cargo
Consumer goods, electronics, textiles, auto parts and other standard commercial cargo. We select the right airline, ULD configuration and routing for your volume, weight and destination across all major airports in the USA, Canada and Europe.
Oversized & Heavy Freight
Machinery components, industrial equipment and out-of-gauge cargo that exceeds standard ULD dimensions. We identify freighter-only routes, arrange special ground equipment and obtain carrier approval for oversized pieces. For the heaviest loads, air charter removes airline acceptance constraints.
High-Value & Secure Cargo
Precious metals, fine art, semiconductors, luxury goods and other high-value air freight requiring enhanced security, dedicated escorts and chain-of-custody documentation. We arrange secure handling at every point - TSA-screened at origin, monitored in transit and signed-off at delivery.
Perishables & Pharmaceuticals
Fresh produce, food products, vaccines, biologics and temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical cargo require precise cold chain management throughout the air freight journey. We book temperature-controlled ULDs, coordinate ground handling with refrigerated storage and monitor temperature compliance from pickup to delivery.
Dangerous Goods (IATA DGR)
Chemicals, flammable liquids, aerosols and other IATA DGR-classified cargo. Lithium batteries are accepted in small quantities only, subject to airline approval and IATA Section II limits. We prepare Shipper's Declarations, verify packing group and quantity limits, and manage airline-specific acceptance requirements. Not all airlines accept all DG classes - we know which ones do and on which routes.

Industry specialization
Aerospace Logistics & Aviation Freight
Aviation-industry cargo is not ordinary freight. Aircraft parts, engines, avionics, landing gear and MRO components must be transported under strict airworthiness documentation, handled with precision and delivered on time - because a delay in the supply chain means a delay on the tarmac.
GreenLine Global provides aerospace logistics services for airlines, MRO facilities, OEM suppliers and aviation maintenance companies across the USA, Canada and Europe. From scheduled parts replenishment to expedited delivery of critical components, our aerospace logistics services cover the full range of aviation transportation needs.

Air Freight Questions
Air freight shipping costs are calculated on chargeable weight – the greater of actual weight in kg or volumetric weight (length × width × height in cm ÷ 6000). The airline rate per kg applies to whichever is higher. On top of the base air freight rate, standard surcharges include a fuel surcharge (FSC), security fee and destination handling charge. GreenLine Global itemises every air cargo charge in our quotations so there are no surprises at delivery.
Door-to-door international air freight between the USA or Canada and Europe typically takes 2 to 5 business days, including customs clearance at destination. Flight time itself is 7 to 9 hours transatlantic – the remaining time is ground transport at each end and customs processing. Express next-flight-out services can compress total transit to 24 to 48 hours where direct routes are available. For shipments where 10–18 day transit is acceptable, our ocean freight service offers significantly lower air freight cost per kg.
Scheduled air freight books your cargo onto the next suitable regular airline service – reliable, cost-effective and appropriate for most international shipments. Express or next-flight-out (NFO) air cargo puts your shipment on the earliest available flight regardless of schedule – used when hours matter and a delay carries a measurable cost. Air charter goes further: a full or part aircraft is dedicated exclusively to your cargo, removing airline capacity and schedule constraints entirely. GreenLine Global offers all three service levels and will recommend the right option based on your urgency and budget.
Yes. GreenLine Global handles IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) classified air cargo – including chemicals, flammable liquids and other restricted items. Lithium batteries are accepted in small quantities only, subject to IATA Section II limits and airline-specific acceptance policies. Our team checks your Shipper’s Declaration for Dangerous Goods, verifies packing group compliance and quantity limits per package, and manages airline-specific acceptance requirements. Note that not all airlines accept all DG classes on all routes – contact us with your UN number and commodity and we will advise on feasibility, airline options and routing.
AOG stands for Aircraft on Ground – the aviation industry’s term for an emergency shipment of parts needed to return a grounded aircraft to service as quickly as possible. Every hour of downtime costs airlines significant revenue, which is why aircraft on ground logistics moves at the highest available urgency. GreenLine Global handles time-critical air freight services for the aviation and aerospace industry, including urgent parts movements that cannot wait for the next scheduled service. Contact us directly with your requirement – we will identify the fastest routing immediately.
