Warehouse at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach

GreenLine Global runs a warehouse at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, USA. We operate two sites in Southern California: a fulfillment center in Long Beach and an industrial warehouse in Cerritos. We pick up your containers from the San Pedro Bay terminals by drayage, then transload, store, and deliver. Together, the two ports form the busiest container gateway in North America and the main entry point for transpacific imports from Asia.

We handle general and industrial cargo – dry, palletised, and machinery freight. Every scope runs under one contract, with a transparent, itemised quote and no hidden charges. Warehousing connects with our Ocean Freight to the USA service on the way in and our Road Freight network on the way out. Shipping to the East Coast as well? Our Port of Charleston warehouse covers the Southeast.

Our core service · Both sites · Step by step

From Terminal to Door at the Port of LA and Long Beach

The same process runs at our Long Beach fulfillment center and our Cerritos industrial warehouse. We pick up your container, transload or store the freight, deliver it, and return the empty. We route each container to the site that fits your cargo. Here is how it moves.

1

Quote and container pick-up from the San Pedro Bay terminals

We assess your cargo, volume, and delivery region, then return an itemised quote. We track your vessel, book the terminal appointment, and pick up at the Port of Los Angeles or the Port of Long Beach. Drayage runs with port-registered trucks under the ports' Clean Truck Program.

2

Devanning and customs coordination

We devan the container at Long Beach or Cerritos and check every pallet against the packing list. Our customs clearance team keeps your US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) entry and ISF filing on track. Any discrepancy is flagged at intake.

3

Transload, cross-dock, or store

We reload freight into 53-foot domestic trailers, cross-dock it straight to outbound, or put it into storage. The freight from three 40-foot containers typically fits into two 53-foot trailers. In Long Beach, stock goes into fulfillment inventory. In Cerritos, it goes onto racks or straight to outbound.

4

Last mile delivery and empty container return

We deliver along the I-710, I-605, and I-5 corridors to Southern California and inland states. The empty container goes back to the terminal or depot on schedule. You work with one team and one point of contact, from terminal to final delivery.

Why transload at the Ports of LA and Long Beach? Fewer trailers mean a lower cost per unit on long domestic legs. The ocean container goes back to the terminal early, which keeps per-diem charges down. Pair transload with our Road Freight network for national reach. Email sales@greenlineglobal.com for a transparent, itemised quote.

Warehousing Services at the Ports of LA and Long Beach

These core services run at Long Beach and Cerritos alike. Pick one, or combine several into a single scope under one contract.

Transload & Cross-Dock

40ft to 53ft · Fast-Turn

We move freight from ocean containers into 53-foot domestic trailers, or cross-dock it straight to outbound. It cuts cost per unit and keeps fast-turn freight moving.

Container Pick-Up

Port Drayage · Appointments

We collect your container from any Port of LA or Port of Long Beach terminal. We track free time and last free day, so demurrage stays off your invoice.

Palletizing & Packing

Repalletise · Wrap · Label

Floor-loaded containers from Asia often arrive loose. We build, wrap, and label pallets to carrier and retail routing guides.

Short & Long-Term Storage

Overflow · Peak Season · Racked

Store for a week during peak season, or for months with no fixed lease. Every unit is counted at intake and tracked throughout.

Last Mile Delivery

Regional · Scheduled · Dedicated

We deliver across Los Angeles County, Orange County, and the Inland Empire. Our Road Freight network covers long-haul legs.

Container Drop-Off

Empty Return · Street-Turn

We return the empty to the terminal or depot on schedule, or arrange a street-turn. That keeps per-diem and chassis charges low.

FAQS

Warehousing Questions

No. They are two separate ports, run by the City of Los Angeles and the City of Long Beach. They sit side by side on San Pedro Bay and share Terminal Island, so together they are called the San Pedro Bay Port Complex. Shippers often treat them as one gateway, shortened to LA/Long Beach. GreenLine Global picks up containers from terminals at both ports and serves both from the same warehouses.

Long Beach is our fulfillment center, built for e-commerce and retail brands that need pick and pack, kitting, and order dispatch. Cerritos is our industrial warehouse, next to the I-605, I-5, and SR-91 freeways, built for machinery, bulky freight, container transload, and long-term storage. Both sites run the same core process: container pick-up, transload or storage, last mile delivery, and empty return. We route each container to the site that fits your cargo.

Yes, transload is part of our core service at the Ports of LA and Long Beach. We devan your ocean container, check and repalletise the freight, then reload it into 53-foot domestic trailers. The freight from three 40-foot containers typically fits into two 53-foot trailers, which lowers your cost per unit on long domestic legs. The empty container goes back to the terminal early, which keeps per-diem charges down.

We track your vessel, free time, and last free day from the moment you book. We reserve the terminal appointment early and pick up with port-registered drayage trucks. After devanning, we return the empty on schedule or arrange a street-turn for an export load.

Email sales@greenlineglobal.com with your origin, container count and size, cargo type, and approximate weight. Add the services you need, such as fulfillment, transload, or storage, and your delivery region. We return a transparent, itemised quote with no hidden charges and route your freight to Long Beach or Cerritos. One team then manages it from terminal pick-up to final delivery.
